NFL Week 13 Parlay Sportsbook Betting Picks
This is the time of the year were wins and losses can mean the difference between a spot in the postseason for a run at a Super Bowl title or an early start to an offseason to begin the rebuilding process. The Pay Per Head Guide has singled out two matchups that fit the bill for this week’s top NFL parlay play.
NFL Week 13 Parlay Betting Picks Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints
Pointspread: New Orleans -5
The 7-4 Lions have a one-game lead over Minnesota in the NFC North following last Thursday’s 16-13 overtime win against the Vikings as slight two-point home favorites. They have now gone 6-1 both straight-up and against the spread in their last seven games as one of the hottest teams in the NFC. The one constant during this entire stretch of games has been close, hard-fought battles with an average margin of victory of just 4.1 points either way.
New Orleans continues to battle its way back into the playoff picture with three SU wins in its last five games to improve to 5-6 on the year. It has gone 6-1-1 ATS in its last seven games as part of an overall record of 7-3-1 ATS this year. While the Saints have been road warriors all season long at 4-0-1 ATS in five previous road games, they come into this NFC clash at 3-3 ATS in six previous games at home. While I still like the Saints’ chances to get the SU win this Sunday, I will take the Lions and the five points to cover.
Pay Per Head Sportsbook Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Diego Chargers
Pointspread: San Diego -3.5
Do not look now but Tampa Bay is also making a move towards the postseason at 6-5 both SU and ATS. The Buccaneers have won their last their last three games (SU and ATS) after closing as underdogs in all three contests. After stunning Kansas City on the road in Week 11, they really staked their claim as a legitimate playoff contender with last week’s SU upset at home against Seattle.
The Chargers have won three of their last five games both SU and ATS following last week’s 21-13 win on the road against Houston as 2.5-point favorites. Unfortunately at 5-6 SU (7-4 ATS) they are a distance fourth in the highly competitive AFC West. This would have to be considered a must-win for San Diego to keep any hopes of a run to the playoffs alive as a wild card in the AFC, but that extra half-point on the current spread has me leaning towards Tampa Bay in what should be a three-point game either way.
